“The name should be the most commonly used name to refer to the asset. It does not necessarily need to be the official name given by project creators nor the one in the token contract.”
Justification
In order for the t2cr to be useful, it should name assets in the same way other people name them. Otherwize this can lead to confusion with assets having multiple names.
Assets should generally aim to be decentralized, so the initial team should not have a specific authority about how to name them. Of course they give names first, but names used by the community and outsiders are more important.
Names in the token contract are often outdated or inconsistent. They can’t be changed so they provide poor naming potential.
